The pipe has ended. If you have read my blog or you’re a follower of my twitter, then you would know that I’m actually a big fan of the Xbox One. It’s a wonderful console for the price – and with the price of the Xbox One now so low, it’s a great console for students too. It’s the perfect console for me. Now, I’ve been an Xbox user since the first Xbox, and I’ve been playing one for a long time. In fact, I even used to be a bigger Xbox One fan than the majority of the Xbox One generation. But, recently I’ve become heavily disappointed with the Xbox One.

1. Update device driver

2. Update browser and other software

  1. Start Google Chrome.

  2. Go to Update and Security.
  3. Open the Windows Security tab in the left pane.
  4. Click Protect against viruses and threats.
  5. Scroll down and tap Scan Settings,
  6. Select Microsoft Defender Offline Scan.
  7. Click on the Scan now button.
  8. Be sure to save your work and close all open programs. Click the Scan button to restart the computer.

Windows shuts down and runs an offline scan. The computer will then restart automatically. After the restart, check if system error 109 appears: The hose is out – the problem is solved.

4. Check for conflicts with third-party software in clean start mode

  1. Press Windows key + R to open Run.
  2. Type msconfig.msc and click OK to open the system configuration.
  3. Open the Services tab in the System Configuration window.
  4. Here you must first hide all Microsoft services. Therefore select the Hide all Microsoft services check box.
  5. Then click Disable All to stop all third-party services at the next reboot.
  6. Open the Start tab and click the Open Task Manager link.
  7. Disable the starting of all activated applications. Close Task Manager and return to the system configuration.
  8. Click Apply and OK. When prompted to reboot, click Reboot Now.
  9. Your computer will now restart in clean boot mode.

In a clean boot state, Windows boots up with only the basic services needed to work. Try the action that caused this system error and see if it occurs in clean boot mode. If not, you may have installed third-party software that is causing a conflict that is causing the error. Before rebooting, open the system configuration and enable all services you previously disabled. Restart the computer and remove the last installed applications that you think may be causing the problem.
