How to Change Windows 11 Taskbar location? (Top, Left, Right and Bottom)

Change the position of the Windows 11 taskbar to the top

First step. Open the Start menu or click on the search icon, find the registry editor and open it.

Step 3. We need to change the binary number settings for the Start menu, to do this right click on the settings and click Edit.

Step 4. Under Valid Data, the second band is 00000008 and under VU, double click to select 03. 03 is the default binary number in the Start menu, you need to change 03 to 01 with the keyboard.

If you want to move the taskbar to the left side, change the number to 00, 01 is at the top, 02 moves the taskbar to the right side of the window.

Step 7. After you restart Windows Explorer, you will notice that the Start menu is now at the top of the screen. You can also change the position of the taskbar from the middle to the left using the taskbar settings in the Taskbar Behavior section. You can control the behavior of the taskbar by right-clicking on the taskbar and selecting Taskbar Options.
